Attention all September 2025 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) takers! With the exam date rapidly approaching, it’s time to finalize your preparations and ensure you’re fully equipped for success. Beyond mastering your subject matter, knowing the rules and regulations is crucial for a smooth and stress-free exam day. Here’s your essential guide to navigating the LET exam day like a pro:
Beat the Clock: Punctuality is Key!
Mark your calendars and set those alarms! Examinees must report before 5:30 a.m. on September 21, 2025. The PRC is serious about this – latecomers will be turned away, so don’t risk it! Arriving early allows you to find your room, settle in, and mentally prepare for the challenge ahead.
The Essential Checklist: What to Bring
Make sure you’ve got these items packed and ready to go the night before:
- Notice of Admission: This is your golden ticket – don’t forget it!
- Official Receipt: Proof that you’ve paid your dues.
- Pencils (No. 2): Bring at least two, sharpened and ready for action.
- Ball pens (black ink only): Ensure they’re reliable and writing smoothly.
- Long Brown Envelope: For submitting your documents.
- Long Transparent/Plastic Envelope: To safely store your valuables and other allowed items.
Dress Code Decoded: Look the Part!
The PRC has specific dress code requirements, so make sure you adhere to them:
- Male Examinees: Tucked-in white polo shirt with a collar (no seals, logos, or marks), decent pants or slacks.
- Female Examinees: Tucked-in white blouse or shirt with a collar (no seals, logos, or marks), decent pants or slacks.
Banned Items: Leave These at Home!
To maintain the integrity of the exam, the following items are strictly prohibited:
- Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials: Leave all study aids at home.
- Programmable calculators: Specifically, CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus models are not allowed.
- Smartwatches and Electronic Devices: Apple, Samsung, and other smartwatches, cellular phones, earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth devices, and anything else that can be used for communication are banned.
- Bags of any kind: Leave your bags at home or in designated areas.
The LET is a significant step towards your dream of becoming a licensed teacher. By arriving on time, bringing the required items, adhering to the dress code, and leaving prohibited items behind, you’ll set yourself up for a successful and stress-free exam day. Good luck, future educators!
Calculator Conundrum: LET Exam Rules Clarified!
Aspiring teachers, listen up! The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has issued important clarifications regarding the use of calculators during the September 2025 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET). Understanding these rules is crucial to avoid any unexpected surprises on exam day.
Elementary Level: Calculator Ban in Effect!
For those taking the LET for the elementary level, the rules are crystal clear: calculators are strictly prohibited. Leave them at home, as bringing one into the examination room will be a violation of the rules.
Secondary Level (Mathematics Majors): Calculators Approved!
Good news for secondary level examinees majoring in Mathematics! You are allowed to use calculators during the exam, in accordance with Commission Resolution No. 1809-2024. This recognition of the importance of calculation in advanced mathematics is a welcome development for many.
Calculator Guidelines: One Per Examinee, Inspection Required
If you’re a secondary level Math major planning to use a calculator, keep these guidelines in mind:
- One Calculator Only: Only one calculator is permitted per examinee.
- Inspection: All calculators will be thoroughly inspected by examination personnel before the exam begins. Be prepared to show your calculator and allow it to be examined.
Important Reminder: Personal Belongings
The PRC reminds all examinees that they will not be responsible for any lost personal belongings. It’s best to leave valuables at home or keep them securely stored in the provided transparent envelope.
