Calubian, Leyte – A coordinated operation by the Calubian Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PCPT Alexander C. Alfonso, resulted in the apprehension of a suspect involved in a sexual assault case on the evening of May 22, 2025.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Rob,” is a resident of Barangay Villanueva, Calubian, Leyte. He was arrested by the Calubian MPS team at approximately 9:00 PM, acting on a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court in Calubian, Leyte.

The suspect is facing charges of Rape through Sexual Assault under Article 266-A (2) of the Revised Penal Code. A bail amount of Php 200,000.00 has been recommended in connection with the case. Following his arrest, “Rob” is now under the custody of Calubian MPS, and the court has been promptly informed of the development.
In a statement, PCPT Alfonso reaffirmed the police station’s dedication to ensuring justice for victims of crime. “Our relentless operations against wanted persons are aimed at delivering justice and maintaining peace and safety in our community,” he said. “The Calubian Police will not waver in its campaign against criminality.”
