A total of 38,747 out of 62,225 examinees successfully passed the nationwide examination, with 32,624 first-time takers and 6,123 repeaters achieving licensure. However, a shadow hangs over this announcement as the results of 57 examinees have been withheld pending investigation into potential violations of examination rules and regulations.
The nationwide examination, held on March 23rd, 2025, saw a significant increase in participation, necessitating the use of 38 testing centers across the Philippines. The Board for Professional Teachers, composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro (Chairman), Dr. Paz I. Lucido (Vice Chairman), Dr. Paraluman R. Giron, and Dr. Nora M. Uy (Members), oversaw the examination process. The release of the results, 41 working days after the examination, marks a significant milestone for thousands of aspiring teachers. The PRC has published the alphabetical list of successful candidates on its official website.
The decision to withhold the results of 57 examinees underscores the PRC’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the LET. While the specific nature of the alleged violations remains undisclosed, the commission emphasized its dedication to ensuring fair and equitable assessment for all participants. Further investigations are underway, and the affected examinees will be notified individually regarding the next steps in the process. The PRC assures the public that it will continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and transparency in its licensure examinations. The commission will provide updates as the investigation progresses. The passing rate, while positive, highlights the need for continued focus on teacher education and training to improve future results. The PRC remains committed to supporting the development of a highly competent teaching force in the Philippines.
